“We’re in a freefall into future. We don’t know where we’re going. Things are changing so fast, and always when you’re going through a long tunnel, anxiety comes along. And all you have to do to transform your hell into a paradise is to turn your fall into a voluntary act. It’s a very interesting shift of perspective and that’s all it is … joyful participation in the sorrows, and everything changes.”—“Sukhavati” by Joseph Campbell (via julie911) (via quote-book)
Loving and getting hurt is like playing and getting wounded. It hurts a lot, but you can't do anything but wait for it to heal. Sometimes, you think it's already healed, so you try to scratch the scar to get the ugly look away. But you realize that under what it seemed like okay, still hides the wound you've longed to forget. But you're too late cause you got rid of the thing that covered the wound up. So it's time to wait again for another healing but this time, you've got to wait longer than how you waited before so that there'll no longer be another wound. Because sometimes, healing isn't just about the effort, for time plays the biggest role.
